ST. JUDE MALANKARA CATHOLIC MISSION CALGARY




Our Mission

Malankara Catholic Church is one of the oriental Catholic rite of the Catholic Church, based in Kerala, India. It belongs to Antiochian liturgical family formed by the reunion movement with the Universal Catholic Church by the Malankara Orthodox bishop Mar Ivanios in 1930. It consists of about half million faithful all across India and different parts of the world. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos is the head of the Church.

St. Jude Malankara Catholic mission is a parish community organized on September 2015 and functioning celebrating the Holy Liturgy every week for the Malankara Catholic faithful living in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Novena to St. Jude

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.

Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly

Saint Jude

St. Jude, is the Patron Saint of Hope & Impossible causes, and one of Jesus original twelve Apostles. He preached the Gospel with great passion, often in the most difficult circumstances. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, he made profound differences in peoples lives as he offered them the Word of God. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, St. Jude traveled throughout Mesopotamia, Libya, and Persia with St. Simon ,preaching and building up the foundations of the early Church. St. Jude died a martyrs death for his unwavering faith. His body was later brought to Rome and placed in a crypt under St. Peter's Basilica. Today, millions of people around the world turn to St. Jude, the Patron of Hope, for his intercession and hope.
